Crash Into Love by Sofia Grey

Synopsis:
Cass thought spending a month at a beachside hideaway relaxing and collecting shells would be the perfect escape to finish her novel. When she meets the dark and brooding and much younger Jonah, who's staying next door, her book becomes the last thing on her mind.

Jonah would rather stay home alone than go on vacation with his brother and their friends, but does his best to tolerate the situation after being convinced to go. But when he sees the beauty next door, he can't avoid his attraction.

Together, they break all the rules, but will Cass be able to bring Jonah out of his shell forever, or will he leave her with only the crash of the surf to keep her company?

My Thoughts:
Every time I see a book from Entangled (a publishing company) become available to request for review on NetGalley, I immediately click it. It doesn't matter what the book is about. I have loved all of the titles that I have reviewed for Entangled. Their books are just a great fit for me. Well, I spoke too soon. I read Crash Into Love and I hated it.

I don't even know where to begin with how much I hated Crash Into Love. It reminded me of those cheesy Harlequin romance novels that I used to sneak from my mom and read when I was a teenager. The writing was just awful. The whole thing was filled with cliche after cliche. The dialogue was awkward and forced. In one scene, Cass compares Jonah's wet hair to a seal pelt. That's not sexy at all.

Speaking of sexy, one of the worst things about this book was the sex scenes. I got so bored that I found myself falling asleep through them. There was a lot more awkward dialogue that made the scenes a total turnoff. Combine that with the weird phrases she used for the act itself, and I was done. After a while, I started skipping the sex scenes all together. For those of you that know how much I love smut, you know it has to be bad for me to do that.

I have to admit, I ended up skimming the last twenty percent of the book. At that point, I didn't give a crap what happened to the characters. I just wanted it to be over. In fact, I remember telling my husband that if I had to read one more page, I was going to pluck my eyes out. Needless to say, this book wasn't for me. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I give Crash Into Love: 1/5.
